I hope you had a lovely weekend. This week I'm keeping it short and sweet.. as an e-Commerce business you will see a huge benefit from using Facebook and Instagram shopping features.
The most common question I get asked when I share information about Instagram Shopping is: 'How do I set this up, Karissa?' Well, it is actually quite straight forward. I'll drop a link below for you to start setting up your shop.
1. RUN HIGH PERFORMING FACEBOOK CATALOG ADS
Once you have your Catalog or Shop set up you can then run high performing Catalog Sales ads in Facebook Ads Manager across Facebook and Instagram. If your main objective is to generate sales from Instagram this should be a key part of your social media strategy.
2. TAG PRODUCTS IN YOUR INSTAGRAM STORIES
You will get a 'Product' sticker on Instagram Stories so that you can tag your products in your stories. This allows users to easily click a link which will take them directly to the shopping link for that product.
3. TAG PRODUCTS IN YOUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM FEED POSTS
Have you noticed the shopping bag icon on some Instagram feed posts? These are tagged products within an Instagram post. Once you set up Shopping you will have this feature which will make it easier for users to shop your products. It provides for a seamless user experience and also drives sales for your business.
4. INSTAGRAM WILL SOON BE UPDATING THE APP TO REMOVE THE NOTIFICATIONS TAB AND REPLACE IT WITH AN INSTAGRAM SHOPPING TAB
Instagram will be making an update where they will move the notifications tab in the home screen and replace this with an Instagram shopping feed instead. They have also recently added shopping stickers to IGTV videos. Instagram will be putting a massive push on Instagram Shopping soon, so it's a great way for your business to be discovered within the app and also drives sales for your business.
